Sherman County Community Foundation (SCCF) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Tina Wolak as its new Executive Director. Tina, a Kansas native, brings a wealth of experience, leadership and commitment to the community.
Tina is married to Shandon, a 2001 GHS graduate, and together they have two children, Raegen and Sage. Tina’s connection to the area runs deep, and she is passionate about the future of Sherman County. With a professional background that includes teaching business at Northwest Tech and serving eight years with Goodland Regional Medical Center, Tina is well-prepared to lead the Foundation into a new era of growth and community impact.
“I want to see Sherman County thrive and will do everything I can to make that happen. My heart and home are here.” said Tina. “We are excited to have Tina join the Foundation. She has already hit the ground running, and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both her and SCCF.” said Ron Schilling, President of the SCCF Board. “This is an exciting time for our Foundation. We have a new initiative that will be unveiled to the public soon, and Tina will play a key role in the success.”
The Sherman County Community Foundation is also grateful to the Dane G. Hansen Foundation for providing the funding necessary to create this full-time Executive Director position. This support will enable SCCF to further its mission of fostering sustainable progress and enriching the life of all residents of Sherman County.
The Foundation is always interested in hearing from community members on needs, ideas, or questions they may have about the Foundation, as well as connecting individuals and organizations to available resources. In addition, the Foundation encourages area organizations to consider submitting grant applications for funding to assist with projects and activities that benefit Sherman County.
